| Our pups are sold as pets. We make no guarantees as to size, coat color, eye color, etc. For those wanting a dog to breed, we do not guarantee fertility. We do everything in our power to send you the perfect puppy. Please read this page very carefully. We guarantee that every puppy is healthy when it leaves here. Our puppies and dogs have not been exposed to infectious diseases here. If your puppy is exposed to an infectious disease after it leaves here, this is not covered under the health guarantee. Please pay particular attention to this if you have recently lost a dog or puppy! Infectious diseases are not covered by our health guarantee, as we have no control over what the puppy is exposed to after it leaves our home. We also cannot guarantee that your puppy will never develop any health problems, just like a pediatrician cannot guarantee that a child will never develop any health problems in the future. Some things are just not predictable. Our puppies' parents are free of diseases, disorders, and health problems, or we would not breed them. That means the puppies are less likely to develop problems. However, it doesn't guarantee they will never develop a problem. We encourage EVERY buyer to make an appointment with the vet before you ever pick up your puppy. Please, please, please bring your puppy to your veterinarian within three days of receiving your puppy or our health guarantee is null and void. We also encourage everyone to set up a regular veterinarian care schedule and make sure you keep up with the puppy shots. Have your pet checked regularly for heartworms. Use a good de-wormer that is recommended by your vet on a regular basis. Our vet recommends Panacur, and that's what we use. Use a good flea protection program. Note on flea/tick preventatives and/or medications: Some dogs cannot tolerate preventatives. We cannot predict whether or not a puppy will have a future reaction to a particular treatment. Some treatments have even been known to even cause death. Therefore, a reaction, or even death, from medication or flea treatment is not covered under this guarantee. Please be aware that vaccinations sometimes fail for various reasons, and a dog does not develop full immunity to some diseases until they are a full year old and have had all their puppy shots, including a booster at the age of 1 year. If you are not willing or able to make sure that your puppy gets ALL of his scheduled vaccines and boosters, please do not purchase a puppy. The ideal method of guarding your new puppy against illnesses is to keep it away from other puppies less than a year old, older dogs who have not had vaccines, any dog who is ill, and places where other dogs have been doing their business or other dogs have been ill until your puppy is at least a year old and has his/her final booster. This isn't always practical or even possible, but being informed is a good alternative and a strict adherence to all vaccination schedules and a veterinary program is a must. There are many illnesses that can affect dogs. If you keep yourself informed, you can avoid health problems and illnesses in your puppy. Don't wait a few weeks or a month and then take the puppy to the vet. Do it right away, as soon as possible. Don't wait until your puppy is sick to introduce him to the vet. Get into the habit of seeing your vet on a regular basis. Think of him as your puppy's pediatrician. The vet is a good person to get to know, and taking your dog to the vet for shots, health checkup, etc., is a good habit to get into right at the very beginning. Puppies require the same attention and care -- vaccines, well checkups, vitamins, etc. -- as human children. If you are not willing to commit to doing this, please buy a hamster or some other animal that does not require the care and attention that a puppy will require. If we ship a dog to you, we guarantee the health of the puppy when he or she is placed on the transport. This is guaranteed by the veterinarian's Interstate Health Certificate that is required by law to ship a dog across state lines. However, we cannot guarantee the health of the dog after it gets on the transport, as we have no control over what the puppy is exposed to in transit. Certainly, all the animals on the transport have to have an interstate veterinarian health certificate, though, so exposure should be minimal. Initial Health Guarantee: Puppies are sold on a three day trial basis. Within three days of pick up, delivery, or shipment to your location you need to have the puppy examined by your veterinarian. Upon providing us with a written explanation from your veterinarian defining a genetic defect or life-threatening medical condition (this does not include parvo or other diseases from exposure after puppy leaves us), you may return the puppy for a healthy replacement puppy, or a full refund of the purchase price if another puppy is not available with the following stipulations: • The return of the puppy, registration papers, and signed statement from the veterinarian is required within three days of notifying us of your intent to return. • When returned, the puppy must be in the same condition as when picked up, delivered, or shipped to your location. Any evidence of neglect will result in the forfeiture of the option to receive a replacement puppy or a refund of the purchase price. • The purchaser of the puppy is responsible for all veterinary charges and shipping costs. The sale of this puppy is considered final if we are not contacted within the initial three day period. Limited one year guarantee: If pup should become ill and die within the first year, a necropsy must be performed, at owner's expense, to determine cause of death. Our guarantee does not cover illness or death caused by negligence, flea/tick treatments, surgery, parasites, vaccinations, or any illness picked up after dog leaves here. If necropsy shows 100% that pup died from an inherited genetic defect, then option will be given for replacement from the next litter of a pup of equal or lesser value. No monetary refunds will be given. |

| Attention: Once you take possession of a dog, whether you pick it up or it flies on a plane, it is no longer our responsibility to keep up with it. We disclose to you all the information we have on the dog before you get it. We tell you everything we know about the dog. We give instructions on the care and feeding of the dog. We do not sell any animal that is known to be ill in any way. We have never sold anyone a blind or deaf animal. We do not hide anything from you. You choose whether you want the dog. Once you take it, it is yours and you assume all responsibility for its care and KEEPING. If something should happen and it disappears, gets hit by a car, gets poisoned, shot, or stolen, we are sorry to hear it because we get attached to all our animals, but we will NOT give refunds for negligence. We will do what we can to help, whether contacting media or giving ideas, but we cannot travel long distances to recover lost animals. We will not take responsibility for your actions or mistakes. We have recently had an incident or this would never have even been mentioned. Some people got an adult dog from us, got an hour down the road from the meet site and the dog escaped when they stopped at a service station. They did not have her restrained. We disclosed all we knew on this dog and warned them about the fears she has and to be very careful when getting her out. I told them to bring a leash. They chose not to listen. We even drove several hours, at our expense, to find the dog. We don't deserve the way we were treated, nor can we be held accountable for someone else's mistakes. Note: The dog was found by us and is with us once again. Thank you, moorefamilypets 9.01.09 |
